What age level is this for?
This course is appropriate for students who are learning to identify and manipulate letters and sounds and then blend those letters and sounds to create words. Depending on the child, this generally happens in kindergarten and first grade, ages 4-7.
We recommend that, for most days, you read stories with your child and spend about 20 minutes practicing the skills taught in this program.

Meredith DeBenedetto, fondly referred to as "Mrs. D." by her students, graduated with honors, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in History with minors in Political Science and Classical Studies from Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, VA. Her academic pursuits primarily revolved around Ancient European and Renaissance Art and Architecture, a journey that took her abroad to the Center for European Studies and Architecture in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland.
Throughout her college tenure, she held memberships in esteemed associations including Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science National Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta, and the National History Honor Society.
Her pursuit of academic excellence continued with the acquisition of a Master of Teaching Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, with a specific focus on middle school education themes. Mrs. D. has taught all ages and levels, but her favorite student is the one sitting across from her. Her secret passion and idiosyncrasy is her love of English grammar and literature.

Aaron DeBenedetto is a supportive and loving husband to Meredith. His "full-time" job is being a pastor to two Lutheran Christian churches. You may have already spoken to Aaron, because he is the one who reaches out to people and gets them going with Read Without Tears.
Being a pastor who likes to talk and with his love of computers and tech, Aaron is perfectly suited to reach out to people and take care of the backend of things, including provide tech support.
